The Walking Dead’s Ross Marquand returns again to voice an Ultron who is bent on using the Infinity Stones to destroy the Multiverse. Doctor Strange / Strange Supreme - Benedict Cumberbatchīenedict Cumberbatch is once again the voice of Doctor Strange / Strange Supreme and his protections and magic are the key to stopping Ultron from destroying the Multiverse. Even better? Chris Hemsworth returned to voice his iconic character. Even though this version of Thor can’t get enough of a good time, he was still chosen to become a member of the Guardians of the Multiverse. Runaway’s Ozioma Akagha makes a brief return as Shuri in this episode of What If…? and, alongside Pepper Potts, attempts to stop Killmonger from causing more damage in Wakanda and beyond. Jordan once again takes on the role of Killmonger in this finale, and he ends up being one of the most important members of the Guardians of the Multiverse - before betraying them. Mick Wingert may have struck gold by appearing yet again as Tony Stark / Iron Man in the place of Robert Downey Jr., but Stark himself wasn’t so lucky as he wasn’t chosen to become one of the Guardians of the Multiverse. Delaney again replaces Chris Pratt as the version of Peter Quill who never became Star-Lord. Unfortunately for him, or perhaps fortunately, The Watcher stops the fight before it’s over. Jackson once again voices Nick Fury and quickly notices that the Black Widow that saves him from Loki is not the one he knows. While he is only in this episode for a brief moment, Samuel L. As always, Jeffrey Wright lends his voice to the character. While this finale may very well be Chadwick Boseman’s final appearance in a Marvel show or film, we are so thankful he was featured in as many episodes as he was in Marvel’s What If…? The Watcher - Jeffrey WrightĪs was foretold in the episode’s title - What If… The Watcher Broke His Oath? - The Watcher plays a big role in this episode and is the mastermind behind the plan to save the Multiverse.
